Lithium batteries for MicroTACsHi, I'm looking for lithium ion batteries and the corresponding EP chargers for Microtacs but i don't see any on Ebay. Do you know where to get them?
Re: Lithium batteries for MicroTACsThe Lithium Ion battery packs for the Microtac are very rare I find. I don't think a lot of them were sold in the first place, as they were very expensive back in 1994 when they first came out.
I only have the one which came with a Microtac I bought, was kind of lucky.
Re: Lithium batteries for MicroTACsIf you have some electronics skill, repacking a Ni-Cd or Ni-Mh battery with lithium-ion cells should be very easy (you could even have it professionally done, but that’d probably be relatively expensive).
Re: Lithium batteries for MicroTACsYes, that would be good & I would have done so already, but I find that trying to get the Microtac battery cases apart is very difficult without completely wrecking it.
I guess I will have to try cutting a large hole on the back of the case. I also find a lot of the Dynatac brick phone battery packs very hard to get apart, particularly the earlier model packs.
