Very interesting. Once again, Telecom Australia sold this exact same model (AMPS version) in 1987.
Was known as the FM 9010.
I thought it was an Australian designed phone, but maybe not....

I now have one of the Australian versions of these phones, model AP4001, also known as FM9010.
Sure enough, it is made in Denmark. Still powers up ok.
Will fully test it out when I have finished moving, everything else packed away now.

Ok, some corrections to my last post need to be made.
After disassembling the major parts of the phone, and seeing the main ID plate on it, the transceiver model is actually AP4002.
And the transceiver unit is actually made in Australia. The rest of the phone is made in Denmark.
Was made in 1987. I will post some pics after my move.
