Re: Nokia 9000 CommunicatorHello,
So unlike other Nokias, this seems to have a different Lock code assigned to the device, I cannot seem to remember which one it is, I have been wanting to use this for so long and I just got a new battery. Anyone have a program or a way to calculate or reset the lock code? the dealer never brought this device and thier first communicator was the 9110 so I'm without options locally.
Re: Nokia 9000 CommunicatorTry this one :
http://www.mobilecollectors.net/downloa ... ycode_calc if code is not changed - must help
Re: Nokia 9000 CommunicatorThanks for the program
I actually stumbled upon the same program, hence the security code it gave me was the same code the other program gave me. it is not working. I think 9000 is a DCT-1 phone. I've been searching for months now to get the phone working without any progress. Do you happend to know if a reset is possible? I was informed some people are experts in DCT-1 firmware resetting. I have the firmware but the data cable is somehow not reading the phone.
Re: Nokia 9000 CommunicatorInteresting. I have 9000i and the factory default code, on yellow sticker is 92482. When i tried to generate code from emei, with given program, it gives me exactly this code. So it is working, but in your case is useless because the default one was changed.
But, this program only generate the default factory one, not "Master Reset Code" which is universal and can help in your case. Did you try with some obvious solutions like http://www.nokialockcode.com/calculate.php ? This site works for me, for a few phones, but much newer - 7610, n-gage, etc. I kind a doubt that will work for 9000 but you cannot loose anything if you try at least Another stupid solution from me is to try the format the phone - press Shift-ESC-F and put battery. For this i am pretty sure that wont help either, but again you can try at least.
From where? And how much? I desperately need one . I cannot get open the original one to replace the cells, i am afraid not to damage it, at least until i found second one, even if it is dead too.
Re: Nokia 9000 CommunicatorIt could have been changed, the device just would not accept any lock code, not the one generated from the software you provided or any other software, even the master code for that website I tried before and now when you provided again, for the longest time I did try to do it but no where to find a solution, I just ordered a data cable and some lan to rs232. let's see if a local guy can flash this somehow.
I tried formatting now, still not changed. I got it from the states,it is working partially maybe for a few hours on standby. there is one on ebay uk right now, they want 35 pounds for it. I think you should grab it because it took me months asking a lot of seller to find one offered for bidding. I even have the charging station for the 9000.
Re: Nokia 9000 CommunicatorYou wont be able to flash if only with cable, you need also flash box for this.
I was asking where did you get only the BATTERY, not the phone. I already have phone, full pack with box .
Re: Nokia 9000 Communicator
Yes, I got the battery from the states, new, it hold charge but not for long. good for 19 years old battery. The phone I bought locally here from a friend. I'll send you a PM with the ebay Link to the guy selling the battery, but it says he cannot confirm functionality, so it is a hit or a miss. I have a flash box, but not sure if I need the firmware, since I have a DVD with a lot of firmwares not sure if 9000 is there. we'll see how it turns out when the cable comes. I even bought a RS232 to RJ45, you think that one would work to flash the device? since the flasher my friend has is RJ45 only.
Re: Nokia 9000 CommunicatorHonestly i dont have a clue how to flash it exactly, i dont have such equipment...I am just assuming.
Re: Nokia 9000 CommunicatorGuys, did anyone from here replace cells inside the Nokia 9000 battery? How exactly to open the battery? If anyone of you have it open, i highly appreciate few photos of the inside.
