Re: Motorola Silverlink 2000 BirdieThe Motorola Silverlink is not a real mobile phone but is also part of the history of telecommunications. At the end of the 80s - the beginning of the 90s was the time of the experiments and the birdie operation (telepoint network).
This technology could not be achieved because GSM networks were put into operation shortly afterwards. In France (France Telecom Bi-Bop) and the Netherlands (PTT Greenpoint), there were similar networks. The Motorola Silverlink 2000 was later offered only as cordless telephone and worked in the CT2 standard. So I thought it should be shown on this website! Cheers Thomas
